hey all,

just removed my cd player to fit my old one.

went to connect it up and i attaced the arial and heard a bang.
and smoke coming out of the back of the cd player.
so i quickly disconnected it.
went to fit the standard tape player, plugged it in and it didnt work.
tried another headunit that was working before and that one didnt work.

is it a fuse in the engine bay or anything? or something worse?

please help

could be a fuse or it sounds like you have short circuted it.

it will be the fuse proberly! its to the right of the steering wheel and down a bit on the fiesta!

do you know which one itll be? ive replaced the one i think it was but still isnt working

cant remember the number off hand but its the one for the clock too... is that working?

yeap ive tried 3 head units now, and none are working

has it been wired up by a cowboy? ie no multiplug? has it got an inline fuse a little further down the wire?

wired up by myself, have the correct adaptor loom thingy

all i could sugest then is run a live to it with an inline fuse to test it that way!
