Anyone going and if so what you doing there - running, on a stand or just spectating?

I'll be there - running... IF i can get my engine out and back in again in 3 weeks!! :lol:

as i think iam gonna go on the saturday as ill be running then go to shakespeare county raceway on the sunday to run as the show at centrels day is poor as there is no track action as it is a lot of money for 3 runs

Sunday for me mate I cant afford the fuel both days :lol:

However Ive never run up the strip before, so im kinda jumping in the deep end going on the busiest day :(

Are you joking... about 3clock most people start to go home and then they open it to anyone... Me and Ricky Youll got in about 15 runs between 3 and 5... Its double quiet... :)

The cheapest place we could find tbh Shell :lol:

Its the Quality Hotel in Northampton, we've stayed there for the last 2 years.

£45 for the night, and a really nice pub just down the road from it :wink:

i wasnt going to come and race as im nervous about breaking the transmission again :(
however after driving the car the last few days, fuk it im racing :lol:
im not going to run the 888s tho, just my normal crapy front tyres which are almost fullly worn or might try newish toyo t1-r
shell what you doing to the engine this time lol, its fast enough as it is :P :Q

I've got Proxy's on the front at the moment but will prob put my slicks on...

Proxys just run them about 20psi and the slicks i run at 8psi...

Luke... if you have a jack there and wheel gun your more than welcome to borrow my slicks for a couple of runs... i wont be using them all day :wink:

New rear housing, new intercooler and a map...

Never had it mapped before just MSD have just stuck me loads of fuel in to make it safe :bonkers:

BF GOODRIDGE 205/50/15 drag radials are the best street legal tires for drag racing tho

I ran my road tyres at low low pressures few years back... left santa pod down those lanes... came to turn and coulnt cos i forgot to pump them back up... D'oh so i dont like to run my road tyres at too low... just in case :lol: :lol: :lol:

il be there on the sunday. will be the first time ive done a quarter mile. was there last sunday for springfest and was a buzz watching all the cars going up the strip, cant wait :devil: just gotta fit my turbo, external wastegate and screamer, cossie pump, rad and intercooler, and get it taxed and running before then :lol:
