Central Locking Module

Central Locking Module
I am attempting to add remote central locking by using a
remote central locking module off a mk iv fiesta. Problem is everywhere
i look for wiring colour information i dont find any. The Haynes manual
doesnt even list the module!!
The module is a "G1UHF 5WK4 574" or a "96 FG 15K600 FA".
I would post a photo of the unit but i dont know how to.
The unit has 2 multiplugs attached to it. One with heavier gauge wire
used, which i assume is the central locking part, and one with very
light gauge wire used, which i guess is the alarm part of the module.
Wire colours are as follows :-
Multiplug 1
Black and White
Violet and White
Orange and White
Orange and Green
Yellow and Red
White and Red
White and Red (yes 2 wires the same colour)
Orange and Black
Multiplug 2
White

Brown
Blue and Orange

Black and Blue
Black and Blue (yes 3 wires the same colour)

Can anyone shed any light onto which colour does what?
Thanks in advance.

I installed electric windows and central locking about 12 months ago.
I am just trying to figure out the remote interface now.
I know that all i need is a pulse from the remote unit to lock/unlock but at the moment i cant even figure out which wires to use to power up the unit.
Thanks in advance for your help

If I've understood this right, using the later key type remote locking; this would be a sweet guide to knock out!

Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Re: Central Locking Module
Hello,
I have a Ford Escort 1998, and the electric door locks/alarm system have gone on the blink.
About 1 yr ago the driver side (DS) door lock stopped unlocking from the outside. Yesterday the passenger side (PS) door lock stopped unlocking. I entered through the trunk/boot, and found that none of the doors could be unlocked from the inside.
Eventually I found the following technique. Open the PS rear door window, turn the key to the "unlock" position for the PS front door, then to the lock position (indicator blinks), then unlock from the inside via the window. This worked about 1 in 10 times.
Then the fun started. The car started making a beep every time the key was turned to the lock or unlock position, or the door was opened. then the alarm started going off (it has never gone off before). Then the technique started working every time, then stopped working for many attempts, however the PS rear door remained unlocked.
Battery is getting old however holds enough charge for several starts and was reading 14.1V with engine idling. Does not seem to be the problem since the four door motors do not turn when the problem is active, then all turn at full speed when unlocking works, and the motor then starts fine. Same problems with motor running.
I can also hear one motor somewhere when I turn the PS front door key to the unlock position, and when it is turned to the lock position, however there must be a pause first, and this does not seem to be a main door lock motor, or at least not all four of them.
Is this a door lock electrical switch brown-out, an alarm module failure, or something else ? The alarm is the Ford G1UHF 5WK4 667 module (hence I am posting here, very little information elsewhere).
Can I decouple the alarm system and restore basic electrical lock operation or does this require new harnesses ?
If it is a door lock switch problem can I repair the switch or do I need a new lock ? If so I would probably install an aftermarket keyless entry system.
Thank you,
DH
