central locking not working

hi hoping someone can shed some light on this for me I just picked up a mk3 fiesta rs/xr2i rep
I've been trying to sort out little niggly issues that I found were wrong with the car as its had a few extras added by previous owners.

now my problem is the car is fitted with central locking not an after market it has proper ford ones in the door identical to the picture below.

now when I unlock the car nothing happens not a sound and same when locking
