Central Locking

Postby niblo on Wed Jan 17, 2007 10:49 pm

Alrite lads... your a smart lot,

but i dont think you can do this :P

just teasing,
heres the deal. I bought a central locking car kit outa Maplin for about 20 quid or sumthing. The instructions are...... Vague, to say the least.

Heres a pic of all the kit;

I Kinda know how to fit it to the locks... but any spare advice would be apreciated.

But the main problem is how to connect it up to a power source?!?

I NEED ANSWERS,
in english preferably. Im not clue'd up on the electrics AT ALL but i'm willing to try my hand at anything :P

Cheers,

You are better off with the ford stuff as you will have a ba$tard fitting those motors as the locks in the fiesta are cable driven, so you will have nowhere to connect the rods. Just find a mk4 in the scrappy and take the motors and wiring looms, should only cost you £15-20 :)

i'd just tap into the back of the ciggy lighter for a permanent power source if you can't be arsed running dedicated cables

usually scrappers charge about £10 per motor and abit for wiring, you might aswell get the leccy windows as well.
