Changing Focus Headunits

Postby Classkeeper on Tue Feb 27, 2007 7:07 pm

OK, does anyone here have experience with putting headunits in Focus'?

Wheres the best place to route the power cable, ive heard it mentioned that it has to run through the passenger side wing? Is this correct?

Also, ive got one of the 6cd changers in mine, and it has an extra connector on the back of the cd player, does this do anything or can it just be left unplugged? I tried using my old convertor from my fiesta and it seems like the speaker connectors can be made to fit. Does this work ok as i wasnt able to actually try it, or do the newer units need a different convertor cable?

Thanks.

ive always thought that doing the headunit is simple - buy the facia adapter and then the lead adapter.

but for an amp i do know that you can run it through the pass wing.
