Changing front brake hoses?

Postby Mav Singh on Thu Feb 19, 2015 10:49 pm

hey all, looks like I may have a collapsed hose, so im gonna change both the front ones. however there doesn't seem to be a left and right specific one from euro carparts for the 1.6 si. seems to be just a universal one for both the fronts, is this supposed to be correct?

also I know its a 15mm spanner on the caliper to get the hose off, what size spanner do I need to separate the hose from the hard line?

any tips on doing the job? or do I just jump in with the spanners and swap the hoses over?

no luck today, I was able to unscrew part of the hardline but any more and the hardline itself was twisting up and ready to snap. had to give up in the end.
