Chargecooler - Worth considering??
I reallly need to sort out a way to drop my ACT's now but due to the bottom end needing an overhaul cash is kinda tight. I was looking at modding a 2wd Cossie cooler as a temp fix until I can sort the RadTec intercooler out that I want.
Anyways a mate has let me know about a guy with a chargecooler for very sensible money. I only want to run about 17-18psi as a short term fix is it worth considering?

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

A mate has a pace one on his series 2 and it seems to work quite well and thats running 17psi,its just there so expensive but if you can get one for reasonably alright money, personally I think front mounts look so much better but thats up to you end of the day but like I say his one seems to do the job!!

if its just for temporary use until you get a proper front mount, id say go for it if its a very good deal as it wont be any where near as fiddly as a 2wd. but remember 1 2wd cooler would cost u around £35 plus welding costs and piping maybe extra £50 odd. If u do decides to go chargecooler just keep your eye on your ACT gauge

When you sit there in my mates series2 you can just watch the temps soaring up,you have to then drive about and wait for them to go down again before ya can plonk ya foot down. Its only a little rad that the water goes through aswell!!

That happens on any car! Mine will rise far past 60 degrees if sat in a queue/traffic, then drop to sub 25 when on the move.
