spax kit is good, if a little harsh when loaded with ICE/passengers, fun on A roads and motorways though, very stable and confident. if suspension can b that

Spax PSX is near £400 as per fitted to my car
You could get Spax VSX which is the non-adjustable and is around £280.

Sorry for butting in on this post but its the same topic. I'm after a 40-60mm lowering kit including shocks.
Any suggestions on which make of suspension do this kit and where i would get it from.
I have tried Demon Tweeks and my local Motorworld but the biggest drop they do is 35mm!!! I looked in Xtreme catalogue, they have PI springs with 50mm drop but no shocks.
Any ideas, cheeRS guys!!

For £150 I got KYB gas shocks all round. These are only "standard uprated" spec kit for the 8v 2i, but I run -60mm springs and spring assisters to take the ride height back up. Basically there is about and inch between tyre and arch at the front and it never scrapes (205.50.R16 tyres on 16x6.5 Mondy Si wheels). The ride's stiff enuf to make it stick to the road and supple enuf not to kill bearings too quickly.
I'd recommend changing your lower arms (cures wandering) at the same time and having the car laser checked for tracking (cures wandering and understeer probs) all at the same time. Finally, make sure your steering column universal joints are in mint condition too (steering wheel moves a bit either way before the rack responds).
BTW, I'm running Pi -60mm springs which on my old (oil) shocks were quite spongy but do have the benefit of getting you through the MOT.
Nuff sed...

£180 is a good price for shocks and springs. That'll do me just fine for 40mm drop.
