cheapest place for an engine conversion????

hi thier after phoning tt motorsport and them quoting a grand and keep my car for two weeks to do a 1.6si to rs1800 conversion i decided against the idea

i want to know if their are any companies or even peeps that will do the conversion for me for as cheap as poss let me know of any names and numbers please

also any sources as to an rs1800 engine

i planned to buy one allready done up but due to lack of responce i bought a rover 216sli-sorry and a fiesta si for myself and my bird
i'm no boy racer just bad look. . . honest!

For insurance, try HIC (herts insurance consultants).

For the conversion, PM mmogenius as he may be able to sort you out.

a grand :o i paid a local coach works 200 squid and even then i wished i had done it myself as its so piss. if i had to do it again id defo doit myself without doubt

i want an si conversion cause i wanna keep the interior and power steering etc plus i have spunked a few hundreds gettin the bumpers sorted he he

i will try and it dig out if u like. but if i was u id just phone some local garages try some small ones they might be better on price. u dont need a motorsport speciaist or nething to do the swap cause its just a striaght swap so any mechanic or even average person with a bit of common sense and a haynes can do it.

try direct engines. their good, they recon'd my old xr2i for £350, proper good jobbie it was too!

But just look in the yellow pages.
