Now I'm a BMW lover so I'm not going to slate them, but please don't be silly enough to think a 318 will reach 155mph. It may well be 'limited' to that speed but it's not like you'll be bouncing off that limiter on a stretch of runway.

Okay.... a modern 318 chucks out about 130hp. A standard fiesta RS turbo chucks out, ummm about 130hp. Bearing in mind power to weight, which one is more likely to get to 150 mph ? I know from experience that BMW quoted top speeds can be treated as guesstimates rather than verboten but I'm slightly doubtful that a boggo 318 will make 155. Only exception to that is the IS but since that's one of M divisions' babies it would hardly come as a surprise.

and if you love bm's why waste your time with a fiesta.

A lolt of forum members (and indeed some moderators) don't own fiestas - they come because of the car then stay for the socialisng and general friendliness. Quality boards tend to keep their members, even when the original reasons for joining have passed.
