My mechanic fitted my chip for me and adjusted the fueling but it's not been on the rollers. It runs fine but I was wondering what they do to chips when you take them to the rolling round? Do they reprogramme the chip or something? All seems alittle strange to me.

As what Snake said +

It is also to check that there is enough fuel when the car is at maximum load, i.e full boost.

If not, the car will detonate and you will get big holes in your pistons.

It's all very well your mechanic changing the fuelling at idle, but it needs to get on a RR to test under load.

cheers
