Postby Sinna's Xr2i on Wed Nov 01, 2006 5:13 pm

HEY THERE I BOUGHT A XR2I A COUPLE OF WEEKS BK LOVELY CAR WITH ONLY 50,000 MILES ON THE CLOCK.. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE G4 CLIFFORD C600 THAT CAME WITH THE CAR HAS PACKED IN FOR SOME REASON OR OTHER. IVE HAD TO DISCONNECT THE ALARM FROM THE BATTERY BECUZ THE BLOODY THING WUDNT STOP GOING OFF AND NOW I CANT START THE CAR :( . IT WAS FITTED BY GAP SECURITY IN 2002 AND HAVE THE CERT TO PROVE IT, AND I NO THE SYSTEMS THEM SELVES HAVE A LIFETIME WARRENTY. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE LAST OWNER DIDNT KEEP UP WITH THE FREE YEARLY SERVICE AND NOW THERE TELLING ME ITS GONNA COST ME 200 SQUID TO GET SUM1 OUT TO FIX IT. ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS BOUT WOT TO DO OR IF CLIFFORD ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT AS IT HAS A LIFE TIME WARRENTY. PLZ HELP AS MY PRIDE AND JOY IS SAT ON THE DRIVE WITH NO ALARM!! CHEERS ALL...

Sounds about right from the gibbons at GAP. Wouldn't let those cowboys wire a sodding plug :x

Ring round your local Clifford approved dealers and see if any of them can help. Even if it does cost money I'd rather not see the money going to GAP.

I will put money on the installation of the alarm being at fault rather than the unit itself

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

If your ever down near me ill take a look over it and put it right.im a registered Clifford dealer as well.

Cliffords are very temperamentle if the sensors are placed in funky places i.e prox sensor under ashtray which has coins in it [ERRR] it will randomly set the sensor off.

As a whole if the systems are fitted properly they are awesome.

Cheers mate real gud of you. :D I have actually spoken with my local clifford dealer and they sed they'd take a look at for me.. aparently depending on how badley the system was put in they might just rip the whole thing out :-? not what i realy want.. If they did try and fix it how much do you reckon ill have to pay? or if some of the kit is actually faulty will the clifford life time guaranty cover replacing any of the parts.

Another problem as the alarms screwed i cant drive the car down there to show them, bit of a catch 22 lets hope they do home servicing lol.

Cheers John
