clutch problem

when using first gear now, wen i go to let up the clutch it seems to make a horrible sounds like a kinda of screeching but not as high pitch, and it vibrates the pedal a bit ! the car drives fine but that sounds is defo not right and woznt there b4 !?

no defo not alt belt !
one of my friends sed he thinks it may be the clutch starting to slip :-?
and today whilst driving it did seem as tho it mite b starting to slip but only very slightly at the mo there just seemed to be a slight delay when putting my foot down :rolleyes:
How much is a new clutch likely to cost and can they be fitted at home !?
