Cold Air Intake

Postby dswarwick on Fri Jun 17, 2005 12:00 pm

Hi,

Anyone tried removing the fog/driving lights and replacing them with air scoops? Seems like a good way to get plenty of air flow around the engine and specifically into the air intake...

If anyone has done this, do you have pics or suggest parts that you used?

It gets done all the time :) Ducting, universal scoops, bass box scoops etc, take your pick!

what i was gonna do was remove the number plate have a smaller one made up then drill a nice big hole throgh the bumper and the panel so that the air gets forced in to the intercooler to lower the charge temp!! i dont no if this will work but hopefully will look nice lol

If you remove one you must remove both to remain legal. You'd have to be unlucky to get the ticking off but imho it's just not worth the agro.

Im not sure if its legal to be honest. Cant see why it wouldnt be though. Ive taken the other fog light out aswell as it lookd weird with just one. Im gonna mesh both soon though so they look the same .
