Color

I would like to know if my Fiesta has got the original paint or if it has been repainted with another color.
The plate near the bonnet lock says 'Color 00'. What color is the 00?
I have to paint my car because of many modifications. I think the current color looks great and I don't want to change the color. So that's why I need to know.
Sorry if I put this post in the wrong place.

I have a 1995 fiesta Si. But cant tell what the colour is, its a greenish /blackish colour. kind of metalicy. I hope you know which one it is.
Does anyone know what this colour is? And also what the colour code for it is aswell.
Gonna fit a few things, get them painted, then post some piccies.

What car, colour is it???
I knew I forgot something. The car is Fiesta 1.4 CLX 1991. The current color is somekind of metallic blue. It's not as dark as Ford Imperial Blue.

sounds like the same colour as mine.
in the sun the wings look jade green yet the bonnet looks black along with the roof.
if it does it is tourmaline green i think. i have had lots of spraying dome on mine the ford nbody shop have matched it perfectly, just make sure if they do spray stuff ask to blend it in to the older paintwork

I think it might be Matisse blue. What does it say in the plate under the bonnet (color ??)?
Are there any other original Ford metallic light blue shades?

TJ,
regarding the colour of your car, Ford only produced Si's in a few colours so it will not be hard to find out what one it is..
They made
: aubergine
: petrol blue
: ash black
: the maroon colour of phil si 's car
: Mallard Green
I think all of these were metallic.
Mark.

Yeah, it sounds like mallard green to me. Same as mine.
Looks a bit purple when the sun comes out, don't you think?
Next time you see a mallard (as in male duck) look at the feathers on it head - changes colour from green to purple as it moves around!

my brother was told that his car was moondust silver but all the paint he has bought turn out to be too dark. what other silvers did ford make?

It could be pacifica Blue as My RS 1800i is look below . Go down your local halfords goto paint area find the touch up sticks under ford. They have ALL the original colours, find it find the name, get it resprayed allthough doubt will lookas good as mine having only done 3500 miles
I found the correct colour. It's Matisse blue.
But the funny part is that in my car it says 'colour 00', in fiestakingfishers car 'colour 01' and the stick said 'colour 09'.

I did some searching and found out that there are many versions of Matisse Blue:
0, 00, 01, 02, 08, 09, 2246C, XSC2246.
And there are three of each:
normal, lighter, redder.
And also there is a US version AO2246.
Fiestakingfisher's car is 01, it appears to be quite light. My car is 00, it's a bit darker. And I saw 09 which is darker than 00.
00 and 09 look almost the same in bright light, but when there is less light 09 looks darker and 'deeper'.

The US version was used 1989-90. Other shades were used 1988-92. At least 00, 01 were used on Fiestas.

Could be java blue like mine, if it is then if its dark light conditions and you shine a light on your car it should turn purple and green where the light hits it
