Components??

Postby Reevo8 on Thu Oct 11, 2007 3:22 pm

Hi,

I have a mk4 zetec, I have replaced the original door speakers with 2 aftermarket speakers a mate had sat around, they were not too bad, but the sound seemed to stop being crisp at higher volume and I think when I have a bassy song on it distorts any vocals or sounds coming out of the speakers. So I was thinking of components. While doing these I was thinking of fitting some rear speakers.

After reading a bit on here it seems rear speakers wouldnt be much of a difference and that I may aswell spend a little more on the components. Now this is all going to be run out of my Alpine head unit, 50w X4 I beleive it is.

Does anyone have a good reccomendation for components, or anything that would be woth a read.

Cheers

Reevo.

We'll need a budget to give a proper recommendation. If you want to upgrade the rear speakers too, why not swap the ones from the front to there?

Just say a reasonable budget, would say £50 be enough for an average setup? All thats really needed is clear sound throughout. Not too worried about the subwoffoer bassy car type thing. Just after a 4 way setup with clear sounds! The moving the fronts too the back sounds like a good idea!

Cool. £50 will get you quite a decent set of components.

Check out this link http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product_list/c_path/60_61_108/spd/13cm---5-25-components.html.

Infinity are supposed to be very good, and you can get some on there for £50. Ask others about these, as I know Oranoco and others have them I've got the Vibe SEK50's which are available for the same price pretty much, but note they wont fit in a Mk3 Fiesta's doors without cutting. I'm very happy with the sound they give though.
