AFAIK all 1.4 Si's are PTE

PTE and CVH are pretty similar internally, the pte has a revised inlet manifold

The PTE runs on SEfi fueling system as opposed to the CVH's EFi. The SEfi is what the zetecs use. This means that there are extra sensors (Cat sensor, MAF sensor etc etc).

as for what PTE stands for i got no idea :-?

PTE (Pent Roof, high Torque, Low Emission)

Mods to the cam, intake and the head were a little bit different.
