Connecting 306 D Turbo Steering Wheel Stalk Adapter
I know its not a Ford, but I'm pretty sure at least one person on the site owns one, so I figured it was worth a try:

Just got one of them, to make the stalk controls on the steering wheel work with an aftermarket headunit.
I can connect everything except wire labelled A in the picture, of which the only thing this can possibly connect to at the back of my headunit is a wire- I have put both of these wires together, and nothing happens, so I'm guessing wire A in the pic remains unconnected?
OK so without wire A connected I get this:
Volume stalk controls work fine
Nothing happens when you pull stalk backwards
Push stalk forward and it skips a CD track forward, and seeks radio frequency forwards.
Hold stalk forward and it seeks radio frequency back (not just one at a time, it whizzes through many- so really not beneficial!
During fitting it at one point I had it where it would seek my saved radio stations, which is what I want- but when I put the headunit back in it went back to doing the above, I've checked all the fittings.
Any ideas?
Faulty adapter?
