conversion insurance

ok i can get everything i need to fit a 1.6 si engine to my 1.3 for about £50 so why not.

on the insurance front i got a quote of my fiesta as a 1.6 si just to test it, not as a modified car, i know it will be sligtly more expensive. if you register it throught the dvla, will it appear as a modified car on the insurance data base. the only site i can get a decent quote form is quinn-direct at £969. i thought that was brilliant but im not sure how well quinn direct take to modified cars? even tho most of my car out specs a standard si or will match its spec in some areas.

any advice or help or other companies which wont rip my spleen out as i do quite a few motorway miles and all my other mileage is 60mph+ so the 1.3 isnt takig well to it.

IMHO it will cost you less to sell yours buy and insure a 1.6si than it will to insure the engine swop. Plus you will have the stopping power and ABS which IMO are needed for the almost doubling if BHP. Plus the si looks the dogs

not all Si cars come with ABS and to be honest you're much better off without it.

my car will stop faster than any standard si, and no i wont sell it as ive got an entire xr2i kit painted this colour and ready to go on.

i would have done this earlier but its nigh on impossible these days to buy an SI in even decent condition, with sensible mileage,

the engine loom etc, is gonna cost £50 from a mate so no not cheaper to buy an si as mine out specs most SIs any way other than the engine.

when applying for a quote on adrian flux, how long does it normally take for them to get back to you? been 3 days now and nothing emailed back.
