Is it a good idea to convert

1.4 ford fiesta si

to a l2tr mondeo zetec engine ?

and what bits do i actually need and how much would it set me back ?

Its a little more difficult with your, as your starting off with a non zetec car. but it can still be done.

There is guide in the guides section, go have a look ,its will tell you all you need to know :)

1.4 Si is based on a CVH engine so the XR2i guide shouldn't be too far away, and the loom will already have the PATS in it. Not sure about the EDIS though, probably same as the Zetecs I'd imagine since it's a mk3.5.

i did a conversion from a 1.6CVH xr2i on http://www.fiestaguides.co.uk, like said above, 1.4CVH not too diff from mine, but wiring might be a problem
