coolant leak but where from?

Problem or technical question?

coolant leak but where from?

Postby bretjaso07 on Thu Dec 12, 2013 2:36 pm

hi I have a 2.0 zetec in my xr2i. I took the car off the road a while ago to tidy up and since I have refilled the coolant to find it runs straight out from what looks like the crank pulley. I took the waterpump off which was reaplaced recently and worked and sealed fine off and replaced the seals and silicone it on to make 100& seal. timed the engine back up and the problem is this there with leaks. any ideas? its a new pump?

Possibly a small split in the hose? That could run back down the engine and down by the crank pulley?

I've had the hoses all off and checked. If I put coolant in the header it just runs straight out this section and on the floor. Anyone had this problem
