Cooling
i've got a frst running 12/13 psi from a stg1 chip. I've been reading that i could benefit from getting a larger intercooler, is this the case at the psi i'm running?
If i was to change the intercooler would it allow for increased psi or would the actual power output be increased without touching the pressure settings?
Also, i think GavRST's intercooler looks proper smart but i dont really want anything that big, what intercoolers could i go far that wouldnt require a lot of work to fit?
Thanks in advance for any help

An intercooler isn't there to affect the boost pressure, it's there to cool the charge. The air leaving the compressor on its way to the inlet manifold is pretty hot, so the intercooler's there to bring the temperature down and get the oxygen density up again, so you're looking for more power with a bigger cooler. A more efficient one could be sourced, and I think people (Pace for example, though they don't seem to have a great reputation compared to GSR) make I/C's in similar-dimensions to the original items, but I'm not sure about that. Any use?!

Get a twin core alloy 1 like mine which fits in the original slot from RACETEK altho it is £270 u wont hav to cut ur bumper and buy hoses, etc.
Altho make sure no sharpe edges grind away at the bottom of the i/c. Check my gallery for pics m8.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.
