my dad has an opportunity to buy a f reg sierra 2wd cosworth. it is white exellent condition apart from £150 worth of gearbox trouble. it is in totally standard form with new ticket and a few months tax. the engine is good as standard and has been checked out by a cosworth specialist. the asking price is £2000 he will go no lower as he needs the cash quick.
the car is going to the auction in 2 weeks with a £2500 reserve.
should he buy it???????? please reply....

sounds cheap enough but yopu're looking at at least £400 to sort the gearbox

at the end of the day if it's in that good nick and all it needs is a new GB then I'd tell him to take it................ :grin:

the gearbox is whinning, it has been checked out by my regular tunning guy and he said he knows the car and that the gearbox has been rebuilt. it will only cost 150, he said. :smile: :wink: . cheers for the help lads, speak to you later.
