Cossie fuel pump question

Postby ~Tony~ on Sat Jan 06, 2007 11:26 pm

Will a cosworth fuel pump work with a standard fiesta turbo setup or will it overfuel?

Yep it'll still work provided your fuel pressure isn't altered, just means it'll be returning more fuel to the tank :) Any reason for you doing it?

to save buying a new fuel pump now and then one again when i tune the engine.

will i be able to run it without affecting fuel pressure, thought it was a higher pressure pump or is it just a higher flow rate?

It's just an higher flow rate.

when on boost, fuel pressure at the rail goes also up and the cossie fuel pump can still provide enough flow while the std FRST, since its weaker, starts to struggle and not keeping up. Also, std FRST pump's seals break and... you can imagine.
