i got a red top 2wd engine lastyear for mine with the intention of going fwd.
my car was gonna be off the road for too long and too much dollar!
I was going for a trasnveres installation but rwd is just as hard. you need to build up a front chassis subframe and the change the auxillary belt system to the serpentine type

Don't bother - go Zetec turbo and tune that instead if you must. Even a standard FRST engine, well tuned, will give you the same power and much better reliability for the same money.
That FWD Cossie conversion in Fast Ford required a T28 turbo (i.e. definitley no bigger than T28 ) and it was mounted between the block and bulkhead, making it very likely to overheat or even catch fire.
Have a look at the vacuum servo on that car too - there's a bloody big dent been hammered into it to fit the cam cover.
Not to mention the standard-size rad and intercooler being used.
Imho? Nahhhh

I was sent just the other day, two photos of a Mk3 that is undergoing a RWD Cossie transplant. Would you like his Email for more details?
