Shouldn't be a problem - but - and that's a big but, you have to be careful of spoke design.

If the spokes sit too far into the wheel itself then there may be problems with the caliper touching on the spokes.

I know for a fact that mk6 RS2000 5 spoke 15" rims will touch on the caliper.

Cheers,

I'm not sure mate, gonna be a suck it and see I'm afraid!

If you can - get the person to offer up the discs and calipers behind the wheel to see how much clearance there will be (mounting face is on the 'hub' of the disc, so you should be able to see if there's going to be space for the caliper behind teh spokes by slotting it together off the car).

Cheers,

Escort Cossie brakes are 300mm, Sapphire Cossie 4x4 are 280mm (approx) and the Mondeo V6 are 268mm but use a very beefy caliper which makes them alot better than standard FRST/XR2i brakes.

Sapphire's will fit under 15s (as they came with 15" rims as standard) but spoke design is the crucial factor.

Hi,

Cosworth 4x4 brakes are 278mm. (Escort and Sapphire have same brakes)
2wd brakes are 285mm.
Mondeo V6 brakes are also 278mm.
Mondeo normal brakes are 260mm and would 100% fit under 15".
