dont know if thats a cossie one by looking at it, but
its an intank pump and it will be a straight swop for the one youve got at the moment.
it will still fit the pump/sender unit cradle.
thanks

From the pic it look slike a standard FRST unit, but not sure as its all on the inside :) The bit that twists on top of the tank is actually the cradle that the fuel pump, poick up pipe and level sender all sit on .

Untwist this and then withdraw the cradle , refit your new pump, (cossie one has a much larger inlet pipe and also larger wiring ) making sure all fittings are nice and secure , as its a lot of hassle getting the tank off everytime the pipes pop off with the increased pressure ;)

The wiring may also need upgradign as when i changed mine the suppressor inside the tank actually burnt out !!!! This can be bypased as is only there i believe to stop electrical interference for the radio etc

Not hard to do really just make sure evrything is secure and no leaks efoe you start the car again !!!

Dont need a different fuel fuel pump for beige (701's) but the standrad one wont last too long.

Thank god you said that!! :D

My fuel pump packed up a couple of weeks ago and I traced the fault to this little black box thing.

I bypassed this and it worked again but I wasn't quite sure if I have been driving round in a timebomb ever since!! :oooh:

Yeah this little black box could of caused me quite a lot of bother because at the time of it going i had a full tank of optimax and this thing was red hot. Check out how knackered it was by the pics below! that was close :o
