Cracked T2 Turbo manifold
Evning all!
Both the T2 exhaust manifolds I have are cracked Is there anything that can be done to these to fix them? If not what are my alternatives? Does anyone make custom T2 manifolds? I need it to be a perfect replacement. I dont want to go T3 as I'll need a new radiator (this is fitted in a Ka) and I am more than happy with my T2 hybrid which only has a few hundred miles on it.
Cheers,
JAmes.

Re: Cracked T2 Turbo manifold
Have heard of it being done on a NA manifold, not sure about a turbo one as it's taking a lot more load. If anyone has had it welded how was it done and was it sucessful? It doesn't look like the easiest position to get to.

Strange, can you post a pic so I can see what you mean? I can have a look as I have a few t2s kicking around your on about the exhaust manifold that bolts to the block and the turbo mounts to this?

Yes, where the cylinder 1 primary meets the next along they have both split at the root. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow, i'm fairly sure it's a common fault.
