If you look at its common sense really whats happened, the force of the impact on the drivers side has pushed and bent/twisted the whole front end across to the left, popping the screen out of place bending the suspension turret and the front end causing the door to sit odd...

Tracking looks a mile out and the lower arm is probably bent.

Sad one, id strip all the bust and smashed bits off it, and go from there...

Did you spin 360 into a tree or something did you say, sorry havent got time to read the whole jist...

You might be able to get it on a jig...

Hence the delay in uploading pics as i kinda knew.

Jigging etc may be an option but its not really me and i wouldnt trust it.

I'd be the same I'm afraid, even a panel respray would have me selling a car as I would see the difference.
Least you have quite a few bits to take off and use again :Q

Take the wing off and the front bumper.

Wing is just a few spotwelds drill straight through them, then grind the welds off at the front valance and under the sill area, then go from there id say mate... you got some good contacts on this site you never know whats possible...

Sorry to say, but imvvvvvvho, it's had it - door and windscreen effects prove it.

As mentioned, you can salvage most of the good bits, and it won't cost you much to get a nice, clean Mk3.5 RS1800 ;o)

Chin up fella :o)

Gutted for you mate. Was a nice clean car. Have to say I agree with your thoughts on not wanting to get it jigged. Cars are never quite right after that treatment. :(

I'd break the car to recoup some of your costs and start a fresh. You should be able to sort yourself out a nice 16v 2i which will give you a nice base to work from. 8)

If the car is actually 'bent', you will never get it back to 'how it was before'. The side impact looks to have been so hard, its slighty twisted the front end of the car, hence the screen popping out and the mis-alligned doors. If he was to get it 'fixed', I doubt it would ever drive the same again.

Max - Sorry matey. At least your first major crash didn't take any chunks out of you, and your first accident will always give a healthy appreciation of the dangers of ice. Sad it had to happen like this though.

You talked it down quite a bit when I saw you at the weekend, that's worse than I was expecting, gutted :(

Lame attempt at weak-smile-inducing gag: I'd have your driver's side headlight protector if yours wasn't cracked in the same place as mine.

:( Really sad to see that mate, such a shame. You seem to be taking it well, if it was me I would probably cry.

I know what you mean about not trusting a 'jigged' car, just try and find another mk3.5 as mint as yours and transfer the bits.

its a shame you dont know any1 in the vehicle repair trade

my mate would give that a good go at repairing it

i reckon the screen has come out a bit because the wing has pushed against the side of the seal, and the scuttle panel has been pulled down. the door can be pulled out / pushed in again no probs

defo needs a new wing, scuttle looks repairable with time, and obviously suspension bits are replacable, get some opinions off professional repairers before scrapping it :)

f you're in 2 minds, then ffs do it! Get yourself a run around over winter and treat this as a project.

I'm not all that great, but can always lend a hand, and I think you know enough people to attempt to fix it - It's gotta be worth a try mate!!!!

gutted for u mate saw a little pic of it in preformance ford this month to :( does it drive straight?? measure from the centre of your front wheels back to the rear wheels on both sides of the car they should be the same or take the wings off and the s**t guards and ul see if the chasis leg has moved or been pushed back if the door gap has changed and the windscreen has pushed out then your best bet is to strip it and re-do it sorry
