aint it already a xr2i/rst??? or has he just got the body kit on?
sorry i dont know your engine size Max
i know your damage is more than what mine had but if u can get it done for say round a bout £500 then yeah i'd go for it.
but from what theses guys have been saying that its alot to repair and could cost loads then i wouldnt bother. but if u can get its done cheap prove us wrong. would be a shame to see another fiesta in the scrappy.
good luck to u though and i hope thats things will work out for you

Max M4X WW :Something is up with the wheel as you can see in the post.
Ill probably get the wheel off tomorrow after work.
the wheel would have taken a battering aswell, so as i said, you might be lucky and have just lower arm damage, but i suspect the hub might be fooked too

Jacked it up earlier, put my spare on the back cos of the rear tyre.
Removed front wheel, ripped arch off and took liner out.
Drivers door shuts really bad when its jacked up, used to be a bit diff when it was jacked but not like this!
Track rod thing is very bent, wheels made a dent in strut!!
Pics tomorrow.

As i said on msm (if you got it) Its not a bad one to repair will need new strut, hub, steering rack, scuttle panel, wing, bumper, bonnet and it will need a light pull on the strut top to pull it back in to alinement,
I am guessing when the drivers door is shut it sticks out slightly at the bottom back corner?, that and the pass one sticking out will be fixed by pulling the strut top/ inner wing back across with a doser Whats the bonnet gap like on the pass side wing?
Lucky realy as if you had got it on the front corner that impact would have pused the whole front end across about 6"
Should be Do-able for between £550 - £1000 depending on how good job you want, ill sort ya out with some one to do it if you like
And if you stick a strut hub and rack on it yourself it will save some money!

xrtiAdam :And the main thing is the roof is still in the correct place!
How do you know that though?
Going from what the drivers door was like yesterday i think its bad.
The drivers door goes in at the top, passenger out.

From the pics mate! the doors are miss aligned due to the scuttle pusing across and moving the a-posts would have thought the drivers door would be sticking out at the bottom back to but maybe its not that bad!
There should also be a gap around the windscreen on the pass side bottom corner to or atleast the rubber moved

You'd be well annoyed if you fixed everything you could see and it didn't drive right when it came round to trying it out
When's your birthday Max? If it's next year, then get something crap to drive until then, then see what insurance is like on an Si? It would then be 2.0L ready for a year or two after.
Or search around for another mint shell.
There's no way I'd mend yours, maybe if you could do it for one/two hundred, but it'd be cheaper to find something else.

I dont think i want to kit my next one, Could remove it from an si but the front arches would be a problem.
Need to find another HCS i think.
Looking at 306's now but most seem to be just more than what i want to pay.

Buy a crappy 1.1, and drop your hcs out of yours, get it jigged, repaired, and rust sorted while they are at it,drop an rs1800 lump in, sell the crappy 1.1 Dont be put off by having your car repaired, i can gaurantee you that there is at least 1 person on this site who has a damaged repaired car and dosnt even know .Ive seen worse repaired, providing you get it done by a reputable bodyshop, it'll be fine.

If its badly bent then they WILL be ripples in the roof.
If you repair it and need anything then you can also have it for free if i've got it dude.

Fix fix fix fix!
I guess I'm a bit biased because when I crashed mine in 2004, I was at a point where I felt a bit attached to it, and was determined not to let it go. And that's why I've still got it now and why it's got a bigger engine in it
Ok, it wasn't damaged as badly as yours, and I've still not sorted it properly not ( ), but if I had to, I would have bought something else as a run around, and got mine back to how it was when I got the chance.
If you don't feel like that about yours though (it's very possible that I'm just sad ...), then 1.1s and 1.3s are about the most popular MK3/.5 Fiesta out there, so solid rust-free ones will still be about, with silly low miles on them

my mates repaired a rolled car had a whole new roof and pillars
so in comparison, thats nothing. as said, take that s**t hcs engine out, ring a nice 2L drop it it, fix it, if you still dont like it, as long as you have recipets for the repair work, sell the thing on

It will be hard in finding another shell as good, but its gonna have to be a risk im going to take.

I'm sure you know already and I'm sure you have an eye for detail to weed out the snotters out there but I'd be VERY carefull if you decide to look at the 'sportier' mk3.5's like the Si's and RS1800's. They can hide a lot of things behind the kits
You can use my car when you prise the keys out of my cold dead hands

Would rather get a 1.1/1.3 again i think.
How hard is it to fit PAS when the engine is out?
Dont think i will bother with the kit this time.

Doesn't look three bad under there.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.
