crossflow conversion
Hi there,
Im looking into fitting a 1600cc crossflow engine from a xr2 into my fez.
1. is it a simple swap?
2. what parts will i need to do the conversion?
3. will xr2 suspension fit my car? its a k reg mk3 fez.

mk1 suspension wont fit.
these engines are hard to find.
what engine do you currenty have fitted ?

and iv got my eye on a couple at the minute so fingers crossed.

Surely you'd be much better off fitting the cvh 2i engine than the Crossflow

you could buy 1.4 cvh head with in and outs and carb with bolt on filter wouldnt be much less perforance than a 1.6 cross flow. I love the crosss flows personally, even if they do lack performance and fule economy

what a just take the head off my engine and fit a 1.4 cvh one? what else would i have to do/buy to do this?
and reason being i'm on a tight budget and dont really want to have to change many things over.

is their a reason you have decided on the cross flow as first choice ?

I stil need a parts list tho of what i will need? im thinking about just gettin a xr2i engine for it?

will that fit in my car? will i need new engine mounts etc or will it be a pretty much straight fit. with the gearbox etc. also will i need a new wiringloom as the engine is injection and my car isn't
