csowth management conversion questions

Postby xrsi on Tue Aug 30, 2005 12:17 am

right i have a 1.6 CVH turbo engine

i am looking to have a cosworth mangement conversion, what difference is there in things like the L1, L6 and L8 and the others? i know the P8 had few extras that need to be switched on but part from that i aint got much knowledge on them!

also is there difference in the L6 and L8 looms? are they interchangeable?

also what is the best ecu to choose when considering this conversion and what have others gone for previously?

yeah thats the one i would love... dont think the turbo would tho

any idea f the looms are all unique or they are interchangeable apart from the P8 one i would gather has its own loom for thingslike the antilag and water injection

2wd cossies looms were separate from the car loom, 4wd looms were part of the car loom. You can run the different ecu's on either loom. Stuff like antilag uses daughterboards within the ecu and extra wiring too.
