on the late cvh engines 1.6 ones can u skim the pistons to 8:3:1. the same as the rs turbo pistons.

If you skimmed the pistons that would lower the compression and would slow down a non turbo car i think :-?

thats what i want to do lower compression for the turbo.im in a bit of a dilema mate.ive been collecting parts now for a while .ive got most of the parts now to do a cvh turbo conversion and ive also got most of the parts for the zetec .dont no which one to do. :lol:

It all comes down to cost zetec it good for the power but will cost alot more cvh is cheaper and easyer to do but your self and rs turbo pistons are low comp as standard

Don't think so but you can get second hand pistons and put some new ring on ive got loads of rs turbo pistons and rods hanging around ive got a full bottom end with 80k which is out of the car and will be up for sale and have a striped bottom end and lose pistons hanging around

No you can't but i do have some Turbo piston and rods for sale
in my workshop. PM Me if you want them?
