the reason that people use them is because if a 2.0 zetec is fitted the oil pump is differant and using a smaller filter stops the filter hitting the chassis leg.

Or you can use the Motocraft EFL 298 which is a short version of the mondeo filter :)

oreet well i just fitted the mondeo one and it fitted fine but it was a motorcraft one but i changed the oil yesterday and used a CVH oil filter which was tiny compared to the ZETEC so there was no advantage from using the CVH.

I spent a bit of money on engine flush and i replaced my oil with MILLERS OILS well recommened!

what other oils do people use on here which engine?

frostie :what is the benefit from using a CVH oil filter on my 2.0 Zetec?

The benefit is that when doing the engine conversion you dont need to swop the oil pump to the fiesta item.

If the oil pump was swopped when you converted it there is no benefit.

Sure, but as said previously you will need to change it more frequently.
