Right i have a 1.1 mk 3.5 with CAT.

I have endless problems with it and I have had a ford mechanic out to it who isn’t sure what the reoccurring problem is, so ive had enough and want to get a transplant and i was thinking of 1.25 zetec.
What are the implications of this??? Upgrades etc. & would you recommend this ??:???:

or any alternatives would be welcomed

Hello mate,

If you want to do this, the absolute best way to go about this is to get yourself a written off 1.25 Zetec Fiesta with everything you need in it, sit the two side by side and swap everything over - engine, gearbox, mounts, management and loom, radiator, fuel tank and pump, fuel lines, and so on.

Not easy - ideally a summer project (allow a week minimum if you can) but definitely well worth it cos those engines are, pound for pound, wicked little bad boys for power
