CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

cylinder head work???

aup guys looking at getting my cyling head cracked and pressure tested valve seats re-cut and possible ports polished ect is there anywhere in derbyshire that can do this? and have the prices for this kind of work shot threw the roof? just been quoted £570 for ports to be polished :-? is this about right?

I had my head port, polished and rebuilt by area six that cost £200, but they are no longer trading.

mate use it when rebuilding a rover t16, he was impresed with the work and turnaround time

aw should just sign up mate his work is amazing not a mill left unpolished and its bout £200-£220 for 8v and £300 mark for the 16v

creator :what work did he have done to it mate? you have any idea on the sort of price he paid also?

He had the head skimmed, the chambers modified and equalised. dont know what else, i dunno what he paid mate, a couple hundred quid IIRC

my mates got a fully rebuilt efi head hes after £200 if your interested, im sure he'd take an offer though

Whoever you go with ask them about past 'proven' results. Ensure they have a flow bench. Also it's a good thing to ask how much experience they have. It's not enough just to decide to do them one day!
