Postby dangerousdave on Mon Oct 26, 2009 9:49 pm

well its finally here my decomp plate and none stretch head bolts :D :D

here it is guys....

Image

and the bolts new to the left and old strecthed zetec ones to the right, not too sure about these bolts but ill try them as they apear hat they will be stronger as there is a decent shank on them rather than threaded all the way up.....

Image

Image

so all being well it should be all timed up at the weekend ( if i can figure out the correct way of doing it ) then its a case of finding the best way to route the water and its alive...........watch this space

cheers, Dave

xr2i 2.0L ZT 1-11-09 t3 conv parts reqired now..

Postby dangerousdave on Sun Nov 01, 2009 6:15 pm

well the good news is the head is on and the mondeo alternator is on

anyone know how the wiring goes on one????? lol

the not so good news is the t2 isnt goind to fit i am in need of a t3 with manafold and actuator if anyone has one for sale...???

i cannot use the t2 as i cant get the dip stick in the hole as it is, maybe being forcefull i could sort it, but doubtful also the botom hose is going to be a Bic™ as i need ether the reducer for the waterpump size hose to the fiesta size hose or i need to use a rs1800 one but then i feer i gotta change the rad to a xr2i or rs1800 as the conection prob wont stretch that far round to the rs one.........

well it will get sorted one way or another........

cheers dave

Good news about the head being back on .

On the subject of the turbo & dip stick. It should be ok, what dip stick are you using? Its most probable you'll need the a fiesta/escort one and not the mondeo item. The mondeo one comes right up the middle and the fiesta/escort ones bend away to the cam pullys like mine :

Thats not my ~Z~T but its the 2.0l which is currently in the car.

yeah i think i have the same as in your pic mate but you see where the first bend from the top is,..... the turbo is sat there, maybe the mondeo one will fit tho? or maybe mine was a mondeo one been bodged to fit?, ill look at it again this week!! and the compressor housing is next to the waterpump pipe so would limit the airflowing into there as i doubt i would get the filter pipe on the turbo ether....also its going to take a little messing around to get the water hose to fit so i prob need a reducer for that too.......hmmm i should of mocked this all up before.... lol

i think the t3 is going to be the easyest option and will give the most room as it places it to the right of the engine,

bloody car lol

  cheers bud, well i found a manafold and turbo thats stripped down i might be buying... depends if my mate will sell me his old cossie one or s2 turbo (hes got both the lucky baxtered) cheap or not!!

if not i will get the stripped down one rebuilt with a 360 thrust bearing, garret seal kit and balanced etc

or another option is me fabing a t3-t2 flange and putting my T2 on the escort manafold out the way!!......
