Right i have decided to d-lock my car myself as it is sat in the drive and i want to do some work on it before i goes in the garage to be fixed.

So i was thinking about soldering and piece of metal behind the hole and then filler this ove. And let the boys down the bodyshop down there thing with the spray gun!!!

1. Will the solder be strong enough

2. And how can i wire up a lever to open the lock incase the power fails???

Cheers

might be ok if u use special solder designed for metal welding, not the type for sticking wires together wont last 5min (if u get it to stick in the first place)
