I would've put it in the Security forum but thought it might not get noticed...

Where can i get little blanking bits to delock my car without the huge expense of welding and spraying? I know i've seen them somewhere but can't remember where.

I'd like to do it properly but can't afford it. Is it worth it, i mean how many theives break into cars through the lock barrell?

I have remote central locking by the way.

if you talking about mk3 fiestas. then apart from breaking a window. id guess a screwdriver in the lock would take all over 3 seconds to open the door!!!!!!.........

Sp00ny - it might even be easier to break in then tho. All you'd need to do is pop off the blanking cap then either pull the linkage or hook something onto the latch and yank it & you're in. Get it delocked properly it aint that expensive. Mine was about £50 without paint.

Innit!

Sp00ny geez, for feck sake do it properly -
Some theiving fu(king w@nker tried to put my drivers lock through with a fu(king hammer over the weekend to get in.
It really pi$$es me off - stupid c0ck sucking tw@ts if they had half a bollok they may know they're reinforced so all they managed to do is put a fooing dent in my door - WELL DONE YOU PR!CKS!!! No-one comes out better off.

OOOHhhhhhhh yeeaahhhh and thats besides the point that the locks and handle don't even serve a purpose anymore - the cars de-handled  (Well mechanically) just waiting to have the locks / handles shaved.

Sorry for the moan chaps, moral of the story though - they do try and get in through the lock! :oooh:

yup! that is definately true! some clever t'[ERRR] managed to get in through my passenger lock and also put a dent behind the lock (as well as breaking it). Luckily however, they must have been scared off as nothing had been touched when I got back to the car...
