would a DEEP ecu from a 2.0 mondeo work on a RS1800 wiring loom?

yes mate, AFAIK the Rs1800 loom is the same as the Si (both 16V)
The Deep worked on my shed, along with the matching engine and MAF unit..

Slight running problems in the form of a missfire at 2k RPM.. but you learn to live with these things :lol:
