there not the best thing to have cos they can sometimes damage the dampers i think, as well as putting stress on the springs. as they're being held in constant compression and they're not designed for this and then only having a small mount of travel till they bottom out - which means the ride will be very harsh compared to just using lowering springs and although i don't know the price of the clamps i can't imagine the money you save will make up for not putting new springs on

hope this helps anyway

if it doesn't, you have my permission to throw small dogs at me :P

just so you know everyone is right about the clamps damaging the spring
and dampers if you turn hard then the springs could rise out of the cups and seriously feck you upits as dangerous as cutting the springs

youre cousin used to work in an mot centre yeh?

he never had a problem with em because they arent coveredby the mot

lowering spring clamps derived from them being used on cars when towing caravans.

turn them round, and they space the springs out so when the load of the caravan is put on the towbar, the springs dont compress as much.

some useless info for you there :bonkers:
