diffrence between t2 turbo and hybrid t2 turbo help needed s

got a standerd t2 in my frst just bought a second hand t2 hybrid turbo but when i bought it and took it home it looks excactly the same as the standerd t2 i already have on so does the hybrid t2 turbo look the same as the standerd t2 on the outside and diffrent on the inside the only markings on the t2 hybrid turbo i just bought is garrett written on the side so any answers of u lads will be great a pic will be brill cheers.

u aint gonna be able to tell if the turbo is a hybrid or not from the outside...where did u buy this turbo from? is there a seriel number on the turbo somewhere? if there is, ring up whoever made the turbo and give them the seriel number and then they should be able to tell u the spec of the turbo

Fatal mistake you never bought a hybrid turbo anyway even if it ever was at one point, hybrid is the term used when a turbo is specced to match the engine, there are not hybrid 1,2,3 etc just hybrid, a fatal ploy started by companies to get you to spend mucho denero. Although if it is a hybrid of some sort it will probably be better than a std one.
