BTW Halfords sell a metal grinding stone set, inc ball, cone, cylinder, etc etc, for less than a tenner, and also do a medium and a fine grit abrasive roll, all of which goes straight into a standard drill chuck. I'll let you all know how it comes out when me's done.
BTW pre-'85 XR2 heads and XR2i heads are identical apart from the XR2 head requiring unleaded. By comparison, the post-'85 head is a "lean burn" type and, specifications wise has more in common with the Turbo lump than the 2i lump, and is therefore totally incompatible with a 2i lump, so if you need to practice, pre-'85 are the heads to go for.

Morning Tom, how's it lookin' up there???
It's getting there - the front bumper I managed to prime and rub down today and I'm only awaiting the loom now for the very shiny 2i lump (sorry no pics yet but I can't get loan of the digi cam thingy).
Sum1 walked past the shed in Southend tonight and said, "that'll be a minter when it's finished" - nice
Although he may have said "munter"
