I think it's fairly safe to say that no-one is impressed by 15"s, or any wheel that fits straight on.

I am impressed by 15's
I just couldn't justify chopping most of my car apart to fit bigger wheels, especially if it fecks up the handling and slows it down alot. If your like me and cringe at the sound of rubbing then don't go any bigger than 15".

Not arse kissing here, but Mark Stewart (Excursion)'s 2i on 15" GiT wheels looks awesome - it's low enough to eat tarmac and doesn't look ott.

Kev's motor isn't a completely nutty machine and imho the combination would be very, very smooth

15's are a compromise i suppose, but mine never rub (-35mm) so for me they're ideal. Get rims that have spokes going right to the edge to make them look like 16's.

It's entirely up to you at the end of the day mate and the only reason to be ashamed of your hoops is if you decided to go on a complete budget 'cos you're crap at saving (like me then

15s rule, good looks, practical, accelration, handling, low looking, no hacking, min rubbing. ok they aint the biggest looking rim but they are still 2" bigger than xr2i standards. and 2" is a big increase for any modded car, e.g. esc cossie go from 16">18" easy etc etc
