Problem or technical question?

Do Fiesta Rs and Escort RS 1990 have same airbox?

Can any1 assist, can't find an Standard airbox and what goes with it for love nor money for my fiesta RST,
sum one suggested it maybe had the same set up as the escort ?? Any thoughts?

They are not the same.First of all they had different turbos,Fiesta had a T2 and Escort had a T3,which had the compressor housings in opposing sides.Escort has the airbox in the right side of the engine bay as we look at it,and Fiesta at the left hand side.Also Escort was mfi and the airbox was bolted on the metering head of the KE jetronik,while the Fiesta was efi and had the airbox bolted on the side,connecting the turbo with a hose.So they are not interchangable.If you want OEM look,you must find an airbox from an efi model.Otherwise you can always use a cdi

to avoid sucking hot air,as it usually happens with the cone filters.I use a CDA,although I am trying to find a way to install an RS2000 airbox in my Escort,but the intercooler hoses are in the way...

Lol.No probs m8,this is why forum is for,help each other.What turbo have you got in yours?Is it a T2 or T25,T3?If the compressor intake is on the right hand side,perhaps you could use an airbox of an RS2000,although I am not sure for the room you've got in the arch of the Fez...
