why people go for 1900's! - probably finance! - i dunno.

2.0 / 2.1's are far more superior!

If your heart it set on 1900 either way, stay away from PE S2 1900 and as fiesta_fras
said go to specialised engines they have a good rep (although I never had any dealing with them).

Sunny.

I have to admit - I know someone who brought a set of pistons from Specialist Engines and was not immpressed as 'Valcuun Engineering' a very well reputable engine building company (who do all of Power Engineering's work) advised that several people were taking Specialist Engines to court as the 1900 pistons were do-do and created a horrible noise when the engine was running due to Piston slack (space between the piston and the block) - how accurate the story is - I dunno!

Sunny.

ps - Pups, if you can read this - stop economising and buy a PROPER engine!

I know a couple of peeps with 1900 turbo engines in FRSTs, and ERSTs, who have seen 250bhp with a hybrid T3, no problem (and no bullsh*t BHP either). All of them use Specialised Engines 1900 blocks, and some use SE pistons. I've not heard one bad comment about them, and certainly nothing about 'court cases'.

BTW, how much is your insurance Sunny, with all those mad mods and monsta engine declared????

as far as i know specialised engines had 1 court case against em about 8 years ago, and after a independant engine builder checked the guys engine, they discovered he was bolting on all sorts of devices which messed it up!

so specialised engines have neva lost a court case, ppl always say stuff about their rivals, but i know the owners of SE who have run it for nearly 40 years, and they are both top ppl ask ahmed if any1 doubts their skills.

Indeed, just going on what I've heard! - did say "how accurate this info was" - I am not sure!

Sunny.
Do you have any idea what 178.8mph feels like in a Fiesta? 2000 lb of pressure per square inch per second pushing back on your face. It feels like god himself is trying to rip the skin off your skull while someone lands a 747 on your chest.

Everything is Declared James! (from the turbo, dumpvalve, bottom end to the electronic boost control!) - Don't you worry about my insurance pal!
Unlike some people that buy 1900's for other reasons, ie. Hard to tell what the bottom end is for Insurance purposes!)
