You drill around the outer edges only, like so:

Take it off before you do it I must add and take the air filter out, to do this undo the clips around the edges and take the 3 screws out from the top, it will all make sense once you have done it.

Hope this helps :)

this might be a silly question, but with drilling the air box would it need to be delcared as a mod, and would it effect my insurance, aslo does this effect my air/fuel mix??

I drilled about 6 holes on each side...Also on the back too, I figured the more holes I drilled the louder and deeper the sound I got... I now have a K&N that I got off eBay for £15, but I'm stil deciding which sounded the best :-? The K&N deff looks better, but it has a more metally sound to it (because its in a metal case :) )

One of the very last with an iB5, not many of those about! It looks clean :) Seriously though, it doesn't take much to clean the bay, and it's much better for everything in there.

What do you mean by an iB5? :-? Like I said I do try and keep then Engine clean, but with a lack or time and money it does get pushed aside. But I'll have alot of time over the summer to make it look nice. So thats what I shal be doing :)

IB5 is the gearbox. Excusion is pointing out you have one of the late spec fiesta's with the strengthened gearbox.

Most Fiestas have the BC box.

The Filter is from an Orion, not sure [ERRR] the model number is, but I'll try find out for you. This was the one I was told to get, as they didnt list any for a 1995 1.1 Fiesta.
