DTC Codes - help!

Postby dunkyb on Mon May 02, 2005 11:04 am

Hi,

I have a mk5 fiesta 1.25 (zetec-se engine). If you hold down the tripmeter button for 6s whilst turning ignition on, you get access to a few bits of ECU information, and one of these pieces of info = DTC codes stored by the ECU.

Mine is showing 2 codes, 5967 and 9359. I cant find the meaning of these codes ANYWHERE, they dont seem to be standard obdii codes. I even purchased an elm320 interface off scantools.net but it couldnt seem to communicate with my ECU :( ..

could someone please tell me what these codes mean, and an obdii tool i can purchase that will work with my car to clear them?

Many thanks!
