Out of interest what is everyone's views on Dump Valves & Induction Kits on the Escort & Fiesta RS Turbo's????

I own a 91J FRST and when I had it chipped by Ahmed Bayjoo he stressed on how I should remove the Dump Valve & K&N 57i Induction Kit immediately telling me numerous horror stories! He said u only need Dump Valves on 500+ BHP motors and that the back pressure created from 13 psi of boost would not even come close to stalling the turbo? He also said that the Induction Kits just suck in hot air and don't filter the air properly pitting/shattering the turbo blades?????? He basically said the original air box complete with the original element is the only one to use & who am I to argue?????

But I must admit I have found that the car seems more responsive with the additions and who can give up that lovely sound???????

Your views please!

I was told by a mate you done my engine work to use one(he works for porshe racing!!), and I now use a collins twin piston. As for the induction kit I completly agree-a waste of money, I use the originally air box with 2 20mm holes in the bottom + a Jetex element. I ran it with this kit and with no airbox on the rollers and there was no loss of bhp/torque with the kit that I use.
